Why won’t the Publish button enable?

Open the Publishing checklist at the top of the builder — it names exactly which condition is unmet. Five things must be true: one role with two or more private fields, three Strong skills and one Gap skill, an elevator pitch of at least 100 characters, at least one acknowledged gap, and a quality score of 50% or above. The two that hold people up most often are the Gap skill and the pitch length.

CheckPasses when
Experience depthAt least 1 role with 2 or more private-context fields
Skills breadthAt least 3 Strong skills and at least 1 Gap skill
Professional narrativeElevator pitch of at least 100 characters
Acknowledged gapsAt least 1 gap or weakness entry
Minimum scoreQuality score of 50% or above

The traps, in the order people hit them:

  1. No Gap skill. A conservative résumé import files unsure skills as Moderate, which count for nothing here. You need three in the Strong column and at least one in Gaps.
  2. The pitch is short. 100 characters is roughly two sentences. The counter is on the field.
  3. Private fields on the wrong role. The check wants two or more private fields on a single role, not two spread across two roles.
  4. The Conflicts & tensions field does not count toward the Experience check. If you filled it, make sure two other private fields are also filled on that role.
  5. Skills confusion. A "Gap skill" in the Skills matrix is not the same thing as an entry on the Gaps tab. Both checks exist and are satisfied separately.

If the checklist shows all green and the button still does nothing, your quality score is likely below 50% — the score is listed as its own row in the same checklist.
