No. Private context is never rendered on your public page, and the visitor chat is never given it. Not a filtered version, none at all.
Your private context is used by your Honest Fit Assessment, where it grounds the verdict. The profile assistant also reads it while it helps you write it, and shows it only to you. Visitors and recruiters never see it, the Ask-AI chat on your profile never receives it, and recruiter search does not use it either.

What counts as private: the eleven per-role reflection fields, the honest notes on each skill, and the entire Values tab. The full list is in the next section. The eleven Experience fields sit under an amber banner that begins "Private — never shown to visitors, and never given to your profile’s visitor chat at all." The Values tab opens with the same promise for everything on the page, and the note under "Honest notes" says the field informs your fit assessments, never the visitor chat. Those labels are literal.
The visitor chat answers from your public content and your AI Instructions only. Because it is never given your private context, it cannot reveal it.
Where private context is used: the Honest Fit Assessment, and your own profile assistant while it helps you write it, which shows it only to you. Your private notes are never shown to visitors or recruiters, nothing you wrote privately can be repeated back, and every finished assessment is checked for this.
You can watch what happens. AI Activity in the sidebar logs every question visitors ask and the most recent fit assessments run against your profile, so the claim above is checkable against your own record rather than something you have to take on trust.
If you would rather a piece of information never influence anything, the rule is simple: do not put it in the builder. Private context shapes your fit verdicts, so removing it changes what the assessment can weigh.
The exact private set
There are twelve private fields and one entirely private tab.
- Eleven on each role, on the Experience tab, under the heading "Private AI context": Why you joined, Why you left, Actual contributions, Proudest achievement, Would do differently, Challenges faced, Lessons learned, What your manager would say, What your reports would say, Conflicts & tensions, Quantified impact.
- One on each skill, on the Skills tab: Honest notes. This is the twelfth private field, and it is easy to miss.
- The entire Values tab: Must-haves, Dealbreakers, Management style preferences, Team size preference, Conflict handling, Ambiguity tolerance, Failure handling.
AI Instructions are not part of this set. They are not displayed as part of your profile page, but they are given to the visitor chat as rules for how it represents you, and the chat may mention them to visitors.

The four surfaces
Four surfaces read your profile for visitors, hiring managers and recruiters. None of them shows your private content.

What "private" actually means on Profiled
To be clear:
Anything in the private set is never displayed on your public profile, and it is never put into the visitor chat. The AI answering questions about you is never given your private text in the first place. It cannot repeat what it was never shown.
Your private context is used by the Honest Fit Assessment. When a hiring manager pastes a job description, the assessment reasons over what you’ve shared privately: why you left a role, what you’re looking for, where your gaps actually are. The visitor sees a judgment informed by your context, never the context itself. The profile assistant also reads your private context while it helps you write it, and shows it only to you.
If you upload a profile document, its private section is read once to file it into your private fields; you see every item, marked "Fit assessment only", and nothing is saved until you apply it.
And to be straight up about the rest: we store your private fields, and running a fit assessment, using the profile assistant or uploading a profile document means sending that context to our AI providers for processing. They’re named on our sub-processors page. "Private" here means private from visitors and from the public chat, not that the data never leaves our servers. No Profiled staff screen displays your private fields.
