How long until I can publish?

Profile builder publishing checklist with minimum publishing requirements met
Complete the publishing requirements checklist to publish your profile

There is no fixed time: you can publish as soon as the Publishing checklist is all green. Uploading a résumé, reviewing what it found and choosing Apply to profile can fill much of it for you: see Importing a résumé or profile document: upload, review, apply.

You can split the work across multiple sessions because the profile builder automatically saves as you go. Publishing opens once six things are true: the five checks pass (Experience depth, Skills breadth, Professional narrative, Acknowledged gaps and Your name) and your quality score is 50% or above.

The Publishing checklist at the top of the builder shows whether each requirement has been met with a tick or a cross and a specific note on what is missing.

Detail

The six rows of the Publishing checklist are:

CheckPasses when
Experience depthAt least 1 role with a company name, a job title and 2 or more private-context fields
Skills breadthAt least 3 Strong skills and at least 1 skill marked "Still developing"
Professional narrativeElevator pitch of at least 100 characters
Acknowledged gapsAt least 1 gap or weakness entry
Your nameYour full name filled in on the Basics tab
Minimum scoreQuality score of 50% or above

The two that most often hold people up are the still-developing skill and the elevator pitch. Profiled requires at least one acknowledged gap on purpose. A profile with no admitted weaknesses reads as either inexperienced or curated, and the AI cannot speak honestly about gaps it was never given.

On the score band. 50% is the floor, not the target. Once the five checks pass and while your profile is a draft, a score between 50 and 75 shows an amber note warning that the profile may not sustain deep AI questioning; publishing is still allowed. Above 75 is the band worth aiming for: a profile with real depth.

Nothing publishes by itself. When the checklist is green you click Publish profile, and an inline banner confirms your profile is live with a link to view it. Publishing also sends you an email with your public link, and a published profile that is public can appear in the recruiter directory. Recruiter accounts are not open during the beta.

You can unpublish at any time with one button. That returns the profile to Draft and removes it from the directory, so nothing is deleted.
