Getting started

What is Profiled, and how is it different from a job board or an ATS?

Profiled is a candidate profile platform — not a job board, and not an applicant tracking system. You build one detailed profile, and hiring managers come to it: they can ask its AI questions about you, or paste a job description and get an honest fit verdict with the reasoning shown. Profiled never applies to roles on your behalf, and it never ranks you against other candidates.

Detail

The three things are easy to confuse, so here is the split:

  • A job board is a listings index. You search roles and send applications out.
  • An applicant tracking system belongs to the employer. It receives applications, scores them, and filters them before a person reads them. You never see how it decided.
  • Profiled is a destination rather than a submission. Your profile is yours, it stays up, and the assessment runs where you can read it.

The fit assessment takes a job description that a visitor pastes in and returns a verdict — for example "strong fit", "worth a conversation", or "probably not your person" — with the reasoning behind it. It is deliberately built not to flatter. It names your gaps, because a profile with no admitted weaknesses reads as either inexperienced or curated, and the AI cannot be honest about gaps it was never told about.

Everything the AI does on your behalf is logged. Every question a visitor asks your profile’s AI, and every fit assessment run against it, appears in your AI Activity log — on every tier, including Free.

Profiled does not promise interviews, callbacks or offers, and it cannot: those decisions belong to the people reading your profile. What it changes is what they have to read.
