You can — Refer & Earn is live on every tier, including Free. If a send is being refused, the reason is almost always the quota: 5 per rolling 24 hours, counted across email invitations and share-link mints together. Generating a share link consumes one of the same five. Gift Pro gifts do not count toward it.

The ways to invite, on your Refer & Earn page:
- A personal email invitation, valid for 90 days.
- A copyable share link (outside the closed beta), valid for 90 days — better for posting somewhere or sending through a channel Profiled does not email.
While Profiled is in closed beta, the share-link section is hidden and email invitations are the only way to invite. The Refer & Earn guide explains why.
The shared quota is the part that surprises people. It is one allowance of 5 per rolling 24 hours across both. If you generated a share link and sent two email invitations this morning, you have two left today, not five. It is a rolling window rather than a daily reset, so allowance returns continuously as your earlier sends age past 24 hours.

Refer & Earn is not a Pro feature. It works the same on Free, and it is the route to Pro without paying.
Why the form is disabled or a send is refused
There are three things to check, in this order.
- Sending is switched off. A gray box above the form carries the "Pre-Beta rollout" message, and every field is disabled. Nothing you do on the page changes this; it clears when the Profiled team switches sending on.
- You have used your five. The box reads "You’ve used your 5 invitations for this 24-hour window. Try again tomorrow." and the fields are disabled. Each of the five comes back 24 hours after the send that used it, so "tomorrow" can be sooner than midnight.
- You filled in more addresses than you have left. The line above the form says how many remain, for example "2 of 5 remaining in this 24h window." With two left and three addresses typed, the Send invitations button stays disabled and no message appears. Remove an address.
The amber notice that begins "We’re still in closed beta, so the people you invite join the priority list rather than signing up on the spot." is not a refusal. The form works while it is showing, and your credit is recorded when the person clicks your link.
