There is no Save button — saving is automatic — and the only real gap is typing and then closing the browser tab within about a second and a half. Saves also fire immediately when you leave a field, switch tabs, or minimise the window. Watch for the "Saving…" → "Saved" pill before you close.

How saving actually works. Typing schedules a save about 1.5 seconds after you stop. Leaving a field saves immediately. Switching tabs, minimising the browser, or navigating away all flush pending edits too.
So the failure window is narrow and specific: you typed, and the tab closed before that 1.5-second timer elapsed. Everything else is covered.
The habit worth keeping. Pause a moment before closing, or glance at the pill. It appears near the field and fades once the save completes.
Recovering the edit. There is no recovery for an edit that never reached the server — retype it. Reload the page first so you are looking at the stored state rather than a stale view, then check what is actually missing before you redo more than you need to.
One exception to automatic saving: the public-URL editor on the Basics tab has an explicit Save URL button. That field does not autosave, by design, because changing your URL is rate-limited.
