How do voice minutes work, and what happens when I run out?

Voice is a Pro feature. Paid and complimentary Pro include 40 minutes a month; Pro claimed through referral rewards includes 20. When you run out, paid and complimentary Pro can buy a 15-minute top-up for $5 — reward-grant Pro cannot buy top-ups.

Detail

Your monthly allowance depends on how you got Pro:

How you got ProMinutes/monthTop-ups

Reward grant (claimed via Refer & Earn)20No

A single session runs at most 20 minutes, for everyone, regardless of how many minutes you have banked. Longer practice happens across multiple sessions.

Minutes are reserved when a session starts, up to that 20-minute ceiling. If you finish early, the unused portion is returned to your balance automatically a short while after the session’s reserved time has passed — so a balance that looks low right after a short session corrects itself.

What "month" means: on paid Pro, your Stripe billing period; on complimentary or reward-grant Pro, a rolling 30-day window. Top-up minutes do not roll over — anything unused when the period ends lapses, so buy a top-up when you need one rather than in advance.

When you have no minutes left, the session simply will not start, and paid or complimentary Pro sees the option to buy a top-up. On Free there is no voice at all: the Practice page shows the upgrade path, and no minutes counter is shown anywhere.

One session runs at a time — a second one cannot start while the first is still live.
