Cancel anytime from Settings → Manage subscription, which opens the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and your profile stays published under Free limits — cancelling a plan is not deleting your data.
Detail
The timeline: you keep full Pro access until the end of the paid period, there is no further charge, and there is no pro-rata refund for the unused part. (If you are within 30 days of your first Pro payment, the money-back guarantee applies instead — ask support for the refund rather than only cancelling.)
What happens to your profile: nothing. It stays live at the same URL, with the same content, under the Free visitor caps. Recruiter messages keep arriving. If you want your page offline, unpublishing is a separate, deliberate action — cancelling never does it for you.
What the billing portal covers: cancellation, payment-method updates and invoice history. It does not do plan changes — switching between monthly and annual is not self-serve today. If you buy the other plan while already subscribed, the duplicate purchase is automatically cancelled and refunded and you stay on your current plan — contact support to switch.
Coming back: upgrading again later restores Pro immediately. Your profile, messages and history are exactly as you left them, because they never went anywhere.
