Account management

Can I use Profiled as both a candidate and a recruiter?

One account lives on one channel. During the beta the practical answer is short: recruiter features are not live yet, so every beta account is a candidate account.

Detail

The rule that is already enforced: an account with an active paid subscription on one channel cannot check out on the other. A candidate with an active Pro subscription who tries to buy a recruiter-side plan (or the reverse, once recruiter plans exist) is blocked at checkout and told to cancel the existing subscription first. The block is deliberate — it prevents one account from carrying both a candidate identity and a hiring identity at the same time, which matters for how assessments and private context are scoped.

During the beta: the recruiter tier is a later-phase product. Recruiters can already visit published profiles, chat, and run fit assessments like any visitor — but there is no recruiter subscription to buy, so the cross-channel question does not arise in practice yet.

If you genuinely wear both hats — you are job-seeking and you hire — the supported shape today is a candidate account for yourself, with your hiring work done as an ordinary visitor to candidates’ profiles. When recruiter accounts launch, keeping the two roles on separate accounts (separate email addresses) will be the clean way to hold both.

This article will be updated when the recruiter tier ships.
