Your browser is blocking microphone access for profiled.careers. Allow it in your browser’s site settings, then run the mic test again. Nothing is wrong with your account or your voice minutes — the session never started, so nothing was charged.
Detail
Granting permission. Look for the camera-or-microphone icon in your browser’s address bar and set microphone access to Allow, then reload the page. If you dismissed the permission prompt earlier, the browser remembers that choice and will not ask again until you change it here.
Then re-run the mic test. Voice sessions start with a consent step and a microphone check. The test is the fastest confirmation that the browser is now passing audio through.
If permission is already allowed:
- Check that no other application has exclusive hold of the microphone — video calls are the usual culprit. Close it and reload.
- Check your operating system’s own privacy settings. Both Windows and macOS have a system-level microphone permission that sits above the browser’s.
- Try a different browser to establish whether the problem is the browser or the device.
On a work machine, microphone access is sometimes blocked by policy in a way you cannot change yourself. A personal device is the quicker path than an IT ticket.
Voice is a Pro feature. If you are on Free you will not reach the mic test at all — the voice session cannot be started rather than failing at the microphone.
